The Financial Technology Manager is responsible for driving financial systems strategy, governance, and operational excellence across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance, Payroll, FP&A, Treasury, Technology, and Compliance teams to standardize processes, enhance system capabilities, and deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions.
This position blends financial acumen with technical expertise, requiring someone who can effectively bridge Finance and IT—translating business needs into technology solutions while ensuring strong data governance, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Financial Technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives
- Oversee financial systems including Oracle Financials, payroll platforms, and operational financial applications
- Ensure compliance with access controls, password policies, vendor approvals, and security standards (including SOX)
- Own and manage financial data governance, data quality, and reporting accuracy across systems
- Administer and evolve the enterprise data warehouse strategy
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements, automation, and process improvements
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate ROI, financial risks, and business efficiencies
- Support and lead cloud transformation initiatives, including planning and implementation of new platforms
- Provide leadership and oversight for onshore and offshore analysts, developers, and contractors
- Establish governance frameworks, documentation standards, and best practices for financial systems
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve reporting, planning, and analytics capabilities
- Manage system access and ensure appropriate controls across all financial platforms
Key Initiatives / Projects
- Automation of manual financial processes currently reliant on spreadsheets
- Migration to cloud-based financial planning and reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion Cloud)
- Implementation of global payroll solutions
- Development of automated invoicing systems
- Expansion and optimization of cloud-based data infrastructure
Team Structure
- Team of approximately 70 resources (employees, contractors, and offshore support)
- Direct oversight of 2–3 contractors, with broader influence across distributed teams

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to build and scale teams
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial operations
- Experience supporting financial systems or working closely with Finance teams (not a pure Business Analyst role)
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience evaluating ROI, business improvements, and financial risk
- Hands-on experience with:

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Master’s degree preferred

- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, financial systems, and data environments
