Intellectual Property Litigation Associate - Patent Litigation
Position Overview
A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate to join its Intellectual Property practice.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of patent litigation experience, with substantial experience representing both patent owners and accused infringers in complex patent disputes.
Key Responsibilities
Handle complex patent litigation matters from case development through resolution.
Represent clients in patent proceedings before:
U.S. District Courts
International Trade Commission (ITC)
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
Conduct legal research and develop legal strategies for patent disputes.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
Work closely with attorneys and clients on complex intellectual property matters.
Analyze technical and legal issues related to patent claims and infringement disputes.
Qualifications
3-5 years of patent litigation experience.
Significant experience representing both patent owners and accused infringers.
Experience handling patent matters before U.S. District Courts, ITC, and/or PTAB.
Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent technical or professional experience may be considered.
USPTO registration is a plus but not required.
Active admission to the state bar corresponding to the candidate's preferred work location.
Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage complex matters and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
