Our challenge

We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Developer with proficiency to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient web applications using Java and React.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with backend services.
• Develop intuitive user interfaces with React, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with hands-on experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Extensive experience in front-end development using React.js.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with RESTful Web Services and API development.
• Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Understanding of version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Jest, etc.
