Our challenge:
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong Spring Boot experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservicesbased applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, cloudnative development, and modern DevOps practices. This role requires collaboration with crossfunctional teams to build high-quality, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below)
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices architectures.
- Work in a fast-paced, project-centric, and collaborative team environment.
- Engage with stakeholders and clients to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Build and consume RESTful Web Services and APIs.
- Integrate microservices with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Develop event-driven solutions using messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Create comprehensive test cases to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for microservices, APIs, and system components.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.
- Continuously research emerging technologies and share knowledge across the organization.
- Ensure application quality and security compliance using tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and Web Inspect.
- Deploy and support applications in cloud and platform environments such as PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Java 8/11/17 and Spring ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Expertise in developing Microservices Architecture.
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
- Strong understanding of JSON, YAML, and API specifications.
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
- Hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of application quality and security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and WebInspect.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience working in distributed enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within global teams.
