Job Summary:
Seeking a Construction Manager (Transmission and Substation) to manage site safety including performance of safety audits.
Job Description:
Manage site safety including performance of safety audits
Provide constructability feedback during design and walk down
Provide scheduling input
Review/Manage Scope Change requests
Assist with managing material availability
Manage adherence to prints, standards.
Requiring oversight of third-party vendors and EPC contractors, as well as coordination with business partners and co-locators.
Will provide oversight rather than direct craft supervision, supporting vendors during environmental, cultural, and geotechnical surveys
Utilize Procore as the primary project management software and Primavera P6 for scheduling
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 10 years' experience with construction management in the electric power industry.
At least 10 years of construction manager experience
Experience with Word and Excel
Knowledge of OSHA safety policies (helpful)
Knowledge of safety policies
Electrical utility experience (highly desired).
Commercial construction experience required, preferably with substations and transmission/distribution; switch yards, transformers, GIS breakers, and bus bars, and that nuclear experience
Previous work experience at Byron station desired.
Demonstrated skill in construction project management.
High level of knowledge about transmission rebuild and substation installation.
Communication skills and the ability to generate electronic reports
Familiarity in project management software such as Procore and Primavera P6 being advantageous.

Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
