Swoon is hiring for our global manufacturing client in Pontiac, IL and this will be an onsite position.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with Benefits – Health, Dental & Vision.
Position Summary
This role supports manufacturing operations by leading change management processes tied to engineering releases and new product introduction (NPI). You will work cross-functionally to ensure product changes are accurately implemented, tracked, and aligned with production readiness timelines. This position plays a key role in coordinating engineering data, managing change control processes, and supporting build readiness within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain manufacturing change information, including assigning effective dates and ensuring completeness of engineering records
- Coordinate engineering change implementation through internal systems such as Job Readiness System (JRS) and ERP platforms
- Analyze engineering releases, drawing updates, and change notices to define manufacturing requirements and product structure
- Create and maintain accurate change management data across both plant-level and enterprise systems
- Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts by ensuring proper release and alignment of engineering information
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to monitor and track product changes and model introductions
- Track build readiness in alignment with production schedules and key milestones
- Perform Bill of Material (BoM) validations to ensure alignment between engineering and ERP revisions
- Partner with supply chain, engineering, and operations teams to prioritize and resolve change-related issues
- Identify process improvement opportunities within change management and manufacturing workflows
