Overview
A Swoon utilities enterprise client is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler / PMO to support a large-scale, multi-year IT and business transformation program. This initiative centers on a greenfield migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, impacting multiple enterprise functions including Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, and Work & Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules in alignment with industry best practices and program standards
- Utilize MS Project or Primavera P6 to manage complex, integrated schedules
- Track, analyze, and report schedule progress, variances, and forecasts in weekly executive status reports
- Ensure accuracy of project schedules, metrics, and resource-loaded plans
- Develop and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to maintain scope control and schedule integrity
- Monitor project progress, identify critical path activities, and assess schedule impacts
- Maintain and manage the project risk register, proactively identifying and mitigating schedule risks
- Track schedule baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans
- Support business capability traceability and conceptual models to communicate processes across all stakeholder levels
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify project issues, track action items, and support resolution with project managers
- Organize and distribute schedule updates, reports, and meeting outputs in an efficient and timely manner
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 years of experience in Project Scheduling, PMO, or Project Controls roles
- Advanced proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to independently plan, analyze, and report project data
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with schedules, metrics, and reports
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Experience working in fast-paced, complex enterprise environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present data, trends, and variances clearly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT programs
- Exposure to ERP implementations, preferably SAP S/4HANA
- Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Financial acumen, including labor forecasting and cost tracking
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, or similar tools
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, or a related field
- Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts preferred
