E-commerce & AI Operations Specialist (Shopify)

About the Role

Swedish Gift Store is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy E-commerce & AI Operations Specialist to manage and optimize our Shopify platform while implementing AI tools that improve efficiency, marketing, and customer experience.

This role sits at the intersection of Shopify operations, automation, and AI-powered growth. You will work closely with ownership and marketing to streamline workflows, improve conversion, and support our expanding e-commerce, wholesale, and live shopping initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesShopify Management

• Manage and maintain the Shopify store (products, collections, inventory, pricing, tags)
• Optimize product pages for conversion, SEO, and discoverability
• Manage apps, integrations, and theme updates
• Troubleshoot Shopify issues and coordinate with developers when needed
• Support wholesale pricing, B2B features, and private-label workflows

AI & Automation

• Implement and manage AI tools for:
• Product descriptions and content generation
• Image optimization and creative support
• Email marketing and segmentation
• Customer service (AI chat, FAQs, order support)
• Automate repetitive tasks using tools such as AI agents, workflows, and integrations
• Test and evaluate new AI tools that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability

Marketing & Growth Support

• Support email marketing flows (Klaviyo or similar)
• Assist with paid ad product feeds (Google, Meta)
• Support live shopping and influencer-driven sales initiatives
• Analyze performance data and recommend improvements

Data & Optimization

• Monitor site performance, conversion rates, and customer behavior
• Use analytics and AI insights to recommend changes
• Maintain clean data and consistent product information across channels

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience managing Shopify (required)
• Familiarity with Shopify apps, themes, and product workflows
• Experience using AI tools for content, automation, or marketing
• Comfortable learning and testing new tools independently
• Strong attention to detail and process-oriented thinking
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Klaviyo, Meta Ads, Google Shopping feeds
• Experience with live shopping platforms or social commerce
• Basic HTML/CSS or theme customization knowledge
• E-commerce experience in retail, wholesale, or consumer goods

• We have flexible hours between 9:00am to 5:00pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
