Brief Description of Duties:
SUNY Morrisville is seeking an Instructional Support Assistant (ISA) position. This is a full time permanent position with a ten-month obligation for the Automotive Technology Programs. The Auto Tech ISA candidate will need knowledge in A1 - A8 ASE areas with additional exposure in the service and parts advising segment of a dealership.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Primary responsibility in laboratory instruction will demand a strong dedication to hands-on, in-field instruction, and application.
Additional responsibilities may include: college/university service; course and program development; program promotion; and professional development. Additional opportunities for extra service may be available during the summer months through the offering of training and workshops. The person filling this position will be expected to collaborate with existing faculty to utilize their expertise in developing opportunities related to automotive service/repair in mechanical and electrical systems using state-of-art technology. The successful candidate must demonstrate teaching proficiency and possess field experience in the area of automotive service/mechanical/electrical systems. They must also have an understanding and appreciation for technical education at the associate and baccalaureate degree levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
AAS Degree in Automotive Technology with 3-5 years of industry work experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors in Automotive Technology, teaching experience in a related discipline, and ASE certifications.
