What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Technology Integration Specialist position at Madison-Oneida BOCES?
Duties: The Instructional Technology Integration Specialist will assist administrators and teachers in accelerating learning by integrating technology in schools. The Instructional Technology Integration Specialist will also support the implementation and continued professional development of various educational technology software across the region. The position's primary focus is to provide professional development support to enrich teaching and learning by incorporating technology into daily instruction.
In this role, candidates assist in developing and implementing curriculum and technology integration projects, working side-by-side with classroom teachers and instructional leaders across the region.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Using technologies to support standards-based instruction
- Integrating new technologies into classroom practices
- Supporting regional usage of educational technology software
- Developing and facilitating regional workshops, webinars, or courses
- Discovering new uses for classroom technology tools
- Focusing on cooperative, project-based, and interdisciplinary work with technology being just one of the many tools that students use
Job requires some travel between school districts for training and support within a five-county radius (Madison, Oneida, Herkimer, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties).
Qualifications: NYS Teacher Certification preferred. Knowledge, experience, and successful implementation of instructional technology and NYS Teaching & Learning Standards expected.

Term of Employment: 12-Month Position
Salary: $70,869 (Starting salary based based on candidate’s education, relevant experience and qualifications)
