Position
Overview
The client is seeking a Project Manager – Consultant to support a top-priority initiative within the
agency’s Office of Technology.
This is a newly created position designed to provide leadership, coordination,
and delivery oversight for a mission-critical project.
The Project Manager will be responsible for
planning, executing, monitoring, and closing project activities while ensuring
alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Key
Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end project
management for a high-priority technology initiative
· Develop and manage project
plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
· Coordinate with
cross-functional teams, technical resources, and stakeholders
· Track project risks, issues,
dependencies, and mitigation plans
· Ensure adherence to scope,
timeline, and budget constraints
· Provide regular status updates,
reports, and executive-level communications
· Facilitate meetings, project
reviews, and stakeholder checkpoints
· Ensure compliance with agency
standards, policies, and governance frameworks
Required
Skills & Experience
· Proven experience managing complex IT or technology-focused projects
· Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid)
· Experience coordinating cross-functional and technical teams
· Excellent communication,
documentation, and stakeholder management skills
· Strong organizational and
problem-solving abilities
· Ability to manage multiple
priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Skills & Qualifications
· Experience working in government, public sector, or regulated
environments
· Familiarity with technology infrastructure, systems, or
application projects
· Project Management
certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, or equivalent)
· Strong reporting and
presentation skills for leadership audiences
