We're looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Retail Cashier / Store Associate.
Job Description
As a Retail Cashier, you'll help manage daily store operations, assist customers, process transactions, and maintain a clean and organized shopping environment.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, takes initiative, and can be trusted to keep the store running smoothly while management is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Operate the cash register and accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
- Answer customer questions about our products and pricing.
- Assist customers with selecting cheeses, fudge, ice cream, candies, and other specialty items.
- Restock shelves, displays, and merchandise as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including counters, display cases, and customer areas.
- Assist with preparing and packaging customer orders.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Complete basic opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming store environment.
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn about our products.
- Retail, cashier, or food service experience preferred but not required.
