Duties
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely payments and compliance with tax laws.
- Manage employee data entry, benefits administration, and time & attendance systems like Kronos or Time & Attendance software to support payroll accuracy.
- Reconcile accounts through general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records.
- Prepare and review payroll tax filings, employment law compliance documentation, and labor law adherence to ensure legal compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or governmental accounting tools for financial reporting and analysis.
- Support non-profit or governmental accounting processes by managing grants, budgets, and financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while performing data entry tasks related to payroll management and financial transactions.
Skills
- Extensive experience with payroll systems including Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, labor law compliance, and payroll tax regulations.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (Excel) for data analysis, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and time & attendance systems to streamline payroll processing.
- Solid understanding of technical accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining accuracy in data entry and payroll management tasks.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently within complex financial data.
