Responsibilities
- Operate cash register systems (POS) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Conduct product demos and upselling to promote station merchandise and convenience store items
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory to ensure products are available and well-presented
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the station, including fueling areas and store spaces
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, offering information about services or directing calls appropriately
- Assist in merchandising efforts to enhance store appearance and drive sales, including grocery store product knowledge and retail math calculations
Experience
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred, especially in a fast-paced environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies
- Experience with stock management, retail math, cash handling procedures, and cashiering operations
