Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. The role provides leadership, direction, and support to the nursing and BHS staff while managing staffing, budgets, compliance, and collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Serve as a liaison between frontline staff and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
• Auditing nursing practices to ensure compliance, accuracy in documentation and provider orders, and quality patient care.
• Promptly communicate any changes in policies, procedures, or patient care expectations to ensure the team remains informed.
• Manage units staffing levels to meet patient care needs while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Perform between 6-12 hours weekly management duties and provide direct nursing care during remaining scheduled hours.
• Collaborate with med providers, TCs, and other members of the team to coordinate patient care.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to support safe and effective nursing care.
• Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering professional growth and a positive work environment.
• Handle patient, family, and staff concerns promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (required).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality improvement methods.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour
