An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher in a Resource Classroom setting. This contract position is based in Arvada, CO, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through May 22, 2026. The role is located at a high school and requires a dedicated professional to support students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students within the resource classroom.
- Implement specially designed instructional strategies and practices according to IEP goals.
- Collaborate closely with IEP team members to develop and review individualized education plans.
- Support students working on alternative standards with appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Professional Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist Endorsement (5-21) is mandatory.
- Licenses such as Traveler, Substitute, Temporary, or Interim are not accepted unless the candidate has a pending application with proof for the required CDE Special Education License with the correct endorsement.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of the IEP process, instructional practices, and supporting students in special education settings.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be available full-time (40 hours per week) and willing to work onsite (no virtual or hybrid arrangements).
