Deliver expert nursing care in a long-term care setting within a hospital environment in vibrant Hilo, HI. This contract opportunity requires a skilled RN with rehabilitation and long-term care experience to support patient well-being through comprehensive assessments, treatments, and specialized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and deliver individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Communicate promptly with physicians and nurse practitioners regarding patient status changes.
- Manage admissions, discharges, and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatments, wound vac maintenance, CPAP support, and tracheostomy care.
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned in a dynamic care setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with rehabilitation and long-term care experience required.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Hawaii State RN license prior to assignment start.
- Flexibility to work varied 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to arrive by Thursday before assignment start for mandatory employee health appointment.
