A school in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Registrar of Enrollment and Transportation to manage admissions, enrollment, and transportation services. This full-time contract position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The ideal candidate is a data-driven, creative leader with experience in admissions and transportation, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead inclusive outreach initiatives to attract and enroll diverse student families who contribute positively to the school community.
- Ensure compliance with DESE reporting requirements, including SIMS, EPIMS, and Civil Rights data submissions.
- Serve as the face of the school in interactions with prospective families, effectively communicating the schools mission and values.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and tours for prospective parents and students, facilitating an encouraging admissions experience.
- Develop and implement communications plans to guide families from inquiry through enrollment.
- Coordinate admissions materials, events, marketing efforts, and efficient application processing.
- Administer admissions decisions consistent with Massachusetts Charter School laws and manage the student lottery process.
- Collaborate with school administration to support student retention efforts.
- Oversee issuance of student ID cards, bus passes, and parking stickers.
- Act as the liaison with Boston Public Schools transportation, updating routes and coordinating transportation for field trips and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain confidential student records both physically and digitally including demographic data, schedules, and academic reports.
- Manage student enrollment activities such as withdrawals, transfers, and records processing.
Qualifications:
- Experience in admissions, enrollment, registrar, or related fields.
- Familiarity with DESE reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in data management and Excel.
- Bilingual in Spanish is required.
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and public speaking skills.
- Exceptional organization, prioritization, and self-motivation.
