Job Title: NCAA Compliance Manager
Location: Orange, CA 92868 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $40–$43 per hour
Assignment Duration: 3 Months
Position Summary
The Compliance Manager is responsible for administering and overseeing all aspects of NCAA compliance, student-athlete eligibility certification, compliance education, policy implementation, and athletics operations support. The position works closely with coaches, student-athletes, conference representatives, and campus partners to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations while promoting academic achievement and student development.
Key Responsibilities
NCAA Compliance & Eligibility
- Lead and manage all NCAA compliance activities, ensuring adherence to NCAA Division III regulations, conference bylaws, and institutional policies.
- Monitor, certify, and maintain student-athlete eligibility, enrollment status, and academic progress.
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance procedures and best practices across athletic programs.
- Deliver compliance education and training to coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external conference representatives on compliance-related matters.
- Prepare and submit required NCAA and conference reports, including eligibility, financial aid, demographics, and graduation-related reporting.
- Provide administrative oversight during athletic events and support postseason travel when necessary.
Student-Athlete Support & Development
- Partner with academic and student services departments to support student-athlete success and retention.
- Create and deliver educational programs focused on compliance, leadership development, academic achievement, and personal well-being.
- Serve as an advisor to student-athlete leadership organizations and honor societies.
- Coordinate student-athlete engagement initiatives, leadership workshops, awards programs, and special events.
Athletics Operations & Administrative Leadership
- Support athletics leadership with operational planning, budgeting, travel coordination, contract administration, and departmental initiatives.
- Assist with fundraising activities, donor engagement events, tournaments, and community outreach programs.
- Support recruitment and admissions-related events as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, policies, and compliance documentation.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate administrative student staff.
- Delegate assignments, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to departmental standards.
- Promote a collaborative and service-oriented team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3–5 years of experience in collegiate athletics administration, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA regulations and intercollegiate athletics compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and enforce complex rules, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of student-athlete eligibility standards and academic compliance processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
