Are you dependable, enjoy working in a kitchen, and want to build your culinary skills? Summit Food Service is looking for a motivated Cook to join our team at Grant County Jail in Wisconsin!
Whether you have previous cooking experience or are looking to learn something new, we're willing to train the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience while helping provide nutritious, quality meals in a structured, team-oriented environment.
No prior cooking experience required—we're willing to train!
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve quality meals according to established recipes and menus.
- Follow proper food preparation, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Store food properly and follow food safety guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and food handling requirements.
What We're Looking For

- The ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and recipes.
- Customer service skills.
- Previous cooking or food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Pay and Schedule
- $18.00 per hour
- This position is full-time at approximately 30–32 hours per week
- On-site position at Grant County Jail in Wisconsin.
