Title: Technician - District-Wide
Qualifications:
Ability to interact professionally and positively with staff, students, and families in an educational environment
Professional experience supporting computer use and troubleshooting, especially of Chromebooks, but also of Macs, Windows, and other platforms
Knowledge of networking fundamentals
Comfort in learning and supporting new technologies
Handle physically rigorous tasks on a regular basis (unpacking computers, wiring under tables, mounting equipment, etc.)
Travel between school buildings is required (standard staff travel reimbursement rate provided)
Ability to adjust work hours to conduct required tasks at appropriate times
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to support the educational goals of the Sudbury Public Schools
Responsibilities:
Address staff requests for technical assistance in a timely and organized manner
Deploy and maintain all educational technology needed for a modern school learning environment
Facilitate necessary support functions of a 1:1 computing environment, namely managing loaner equipment, basic fixes/troubleshooting equipment, communicating with families, and other related tasks
Maintain accurate records of technology assets in inventory
Remain current with both professional skill set and district technology policies
Provide help desk support by answering inquiries, conducting training and producing online documentation
Perform other technical support tasks as directed by the Director or Assistant Director of Technology
Produce materials that support the successful use of devices for instructional purposes
Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000
This position reports to the Technology Director.
