Substitute School Nurses - All Schools
The Substitute School Nurse will provide health services to students including but not limited to administering medications, performing ordered treatments, caring for illness, critical decision-making in emergency situations, maintaining confidentiality and documenting in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts laws and the policies and procedures of the School District.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate students health, pertinent family history and home factors, counsel students, parents and school personnel about health problems and issues;
• Maintain appropriate health records;
• Notify appropriate individuals of immediate and potential health related problems;
• Document pertinent information in student records;
• Provide emergency care for all students on school premises in the event of injury or sudden illness;
• Administer medication to students with parent/guardian and physician consent;
• Other related duties as assigned.
Per Diem Rate: $200 per full-day and $100 per half-day.
Salary : $100
