STS is hiring Behavior Support Paraprofessionals for the 2026–2027 school year!
Join our team supporting students throughout the Penn Manor School District. This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside educators and Behavior Specialists to help students develop positive behaviors, strengthen social-emotional skills, and achieve success in the classroom.
Pay: Starting at $20.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (based on student assignment)
Location: Penn Manor School District (placement is based on student need and may include travel between any of the district's 10 schools)
Position Summary
As a Behavior Support Paraprofessional, you will provide individualized behavioral and instructional support to students in a school setting. Working closely with Behavior Specialists, teachers, and other school staff, you will help implement behavior support plans, encourage positive student outcomes, and foster a safe and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support for students.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of Behavior Specialists and school staff.
- Support students in developing self-regulation, communication, and social skills.
- Assist students in maintaining engagement during classroom instruction and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, Behavior Specialists, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
- Document observations and student progress as directed.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with children, behavioral support, education, special education, childcare, psychology, human services, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing student needs.
- Willingness to work at any Penn Manor School District building as assigned based on student needs.
- Must be able to obtain all required background clearances and meet school district employment requirements.
