What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional/ PCA position at Substitute Teacher Service?
STS is actively hiring special education PCAs to work in Bristol Township School District at Truman High School
Schedule:
-Truman High School: Monday -Friday / 7:00am-2:15pm (half hour duty free lunch)
Position Summary:
Under the direction and supervision by the certified professional (teacher), a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) works one-to-one or with a small group of students, to provide physical and behavioral support and activities such as: daily living (toileting/diapering if necessary), use of equipment including communication devices, assists with mobility and physical positioning, monitors designated health problems, observes and redirects behavior, etc. These non-instructional activities allow the student to participate to his/her maximum extent possible in the least restrictive environment.
- Hourly Pay Rate ( set rate, non negotiable) $20.00
- Clearances & Other Required Documentation: Clearances must be within one calendar year, and are not reimbursed by STS.
