Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, door and window repairs, and finishing work to prepare units for occupancy
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting using schematics, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure all systems are operational
- Execute plumbing repairs and maintenance to support building functionality and resident comfort
- Utilize welding skills as needed for structural or fixture repairs
- Apply residential painting techniques to enhance unit aesthetics and maintain property appearance
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance instructions accurately
- Operate YARDI to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive tasks
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident concerns promptly and professionally
- Lead or support team members in completing maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, carpentry, or related fields within manufacturing or residential environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and working with PLCs and electrical systems
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for structural repairs or fixture fabrication
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques for interior and exterior surfaces
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for coordinating team efforts effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and residents
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes or facilities maintenance practices is desirable
