Position Summary
The Operations Director is responsible for integrating Studson’s Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse functions into a high-performing system that supports profitable growth, exceptional customer experience, and operational excellence. This role owns end-to-end execution from demand generation and sales performance through inventory planning, fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse execution. The Operations Director partners closely with the CEO and cross-functional leaders to translate company objectives into measurable operating plans, consistent processes, and strong team accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operating Rhythm
- Lead Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse teams with clear priorities, expectations, and performance management.
- Establish and maintain structured communication rhythms between Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, and Finance to reduce friction and improve customer experience.
- Coach, develop, and retain high-performing leaders and teams.
- Prepare executive-ready dashboards and written summaries for leadership that clearly communicate Inside Sales Support performance, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Scale labor planning to support growth and seasonality.
- Identify and propose solutions to operational blockers impacting sales performance.
Sales Leadership & Performance
- Own sales execution, forecasting, and pipeline health.
- Drive disciplined sales processes and CRM usage.
- Strengthen distributor, dealer, and key account relationships.
- Remove or fix operational blockers impacting sales performance.
Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics across all sales channels.
- Optimize freight strategy, carrier performance, and shipping costs.
- Balance inventory availability with working capital discipline.
- Ensure fulfillment processes are documented and scalable.
- Own warehouse receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Maintain safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Ensure accurate ERP inventory transactions and reporting.
- Scale labor planning to support growth and seasonality.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Maintain company SOPs and accountability metrics.
- Map and optimize workflows to reduce errors and rework.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting and forecasting.
- Coordinate with Product and Marketing on launches and demand planning.
Technology Optimization
- Act as primary contact for Amdek inventory movement and printing processes.
- Coordinate implementation of CRM and SPS integration with company Netsuite Administrator
- Partner with the NetSuite Administrator to identify, design, and implement process improvements that support order management, fulfillment, invoicing, and reporting across regions.
- Support international expansion initiatives by helping outline system requirements for multi‑currency, taxation, shipping, and customer workflows in NetSuite and connected platforms.
- Act as the lead for sales operations workflows within NetSuite, CRM, and related systems, ensuring processes align with real‑world sales and fulfillment needs.
- Assist with testing, documentation, and rollout of system enhancements related to international sales, distributors, and cross‑border fulfillment.
- Ensure consistency and scalability of sales operations processes across domestic and international markets.
- Support data accuracy, reporting integrity, and adoption of best practices across CRM, ERP, and sales support tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8 years of progressive leadership experience spanning sales and operations.
- Experience in implementation of CRM, ERP, and WMS systems.
- Strong inventory, logistics, and fulfillment expertise.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a growth environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with periodic exposure to a warehouse environment
- This position may be required to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- The sound level is quiet and typical of a small office environment
