Job Description:
Studio B Dance Company is seeking a motivated, organized, and leadership-driven Assistant Studio Director to support the daily operations and overall success of our growing dance studio. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about dance education, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to take on both administrative and leadership responsibilities.
The Assistant Studio Director works closely with the Studio Director to ensure smooth studio operations, exceptional customer experience, and a positive, professional environment for students, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day studio operations
- Support class scheduling, enrollment, and student placement
- Provide excellent customer service to families and students
- Help oversee parent/student communication and studio organization
- Assist with staff coordination, training, and support
- Help plan and execute studio events, performances, and recital logistics
- Maintain accurate records and attendance
- Ensure studio policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Step into leadership role in the absence of the Studio Director
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dance, studio management, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership experience or willingness to grow into a leadership role
- Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends
- Proficiency in basic computer systems (Band Chat, Google software, etc.)
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualities:
- Passion for working with children and families
- Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Experience in customer service or administrative roles
