Job Description:
Studio B Dance Company is seeking a motivated, organized, and passionate Company Team Assistant Director to support the leadership and development of our competitive dance program. This role works closely with the Studio Director and Company Director to ensure smooth operations, strong team culture, and high-quality training for our dancers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of the competitive team program
- Support rehearsal schedules, choreography coordination, and competition preparation
- Help manage communication between staff, dancers, and families
- Attend and assist at competitions, conventions, performances, and team events
- Provide leadership and mentorship to dancers, fostering a positive and professional environment
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling, attendance tracking, and team organization
- Lead rehearsals or classes as needed
- Support studio policies and uphold company standards
- Manage dancers and teams at all annual dance competitions, ensuring organization, preparedness, and proper execution of schedules and performance logistics
Qualifications:
- Strong background in dance (competitive experience preferred)
- Previous teaching or leadership experience in a dance studio setting
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and competition travel
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with competitive dance teams
- Leadership or management experience
