The Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift is responsible for performing routine and advanced maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal production performance and minimal downtime. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a safe and efficient manner.
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are 1st shift / Monday to Friday, (7:00am to 3:30pm) Overtime as needed. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working collectively with the General Manager in supporting Maintenance and Engineering to achieve company goals:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Inspect and repair furnaces, CNC machines, cranes, pumps, motors, HVAC units, and other production equipment.
- Use a variety of tools and instruments including multimeters, torque wrenches, and diagnostic equipment.
- Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Document maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts usage accurately in the CMMS or maintenance tracking system.
- Assist in installing new equipment and retrofitting existing systems as needed.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies; inform supervisor of needed replacements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety regulations, report safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
- Solid mechanical skills; basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, or basic machining is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance tracking systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift experience preferred.
