What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Pipe Welder position at Structured Trades?
Are you a skilled Pipe Welder looking for steady work, competitive pay, and long-term opportunities? We are actively seeking experienced Commercial Pipe Welders for ongoing mechanical construction projects throughout the San Antonio and New Braunfels area.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Stick welding on commercial piping systems
- Weld carbon steel pipe in various positions
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding specifications
- Assist with pipe fabrication, fit-up, and installation as needed
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
- Work efficiently in a commercial construction environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of commercial pipe welding experience
- Must be proficient in Stick (SMAW) welding
- Must be able to pass a 6G weld test
- Experience working on commercial mechanical projects
- Ability to read blueprints and welding drawings
- Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
- Pipefitting experience is a plus
