Avionics Test Manager

We’re hiring an Avionics Test Manager to lead the development and execution of advanced test capabilities that move avionics and control systems from prototype to production. This is a highly hands-on role focused on automated test equipment, validation, qualification testing, and systems-level performance characterization across mission-critical hardware.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute test plans across component, subassembly, and integrated system levels
- Design and build automated test equipment (ATE), HIL environments, and custom test fixtures
- Validate hardware performance across electrical, digital, mechanical, RF, and avionics systems
- Instrument, monitor, and log test data to ensure accuracy and traceability
- Lead failure analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations
- Drive qualification and environmental testing campaigns, including thermal, vibration, and EMI testing
- Deploy and validate automated test solutions for circuit boards and integrated subsystems
You Should Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Experience testing high-power subsystems, high-speed digital interfaces, actuators, or RF hardware
- Hands-on experience developing automated test equipment using oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, network analyzers, and related instrumentation
- Familiarity with embedded control systems and communication interfaces such as CAN, RS-422/485, SPI, and Ethernet
- Experience with instrumentation control, data acquisition, and scripting using Python, C , or similar languages
Bonus:
- Experience with RF testing, radar systems, or advanced RF architectures
- Software development experience for test automation (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with SCPI, VISA, or PyVISA instrument control
- Environmental chamber or RF chamber testing experience
- Exposure to ESS, fault injection, reliability qualification, or mission-critical system testing
