LAN ADMINISTRATOR :: HYBRID - AKRON, OHIO

Title: LAN Administrator Location: Hybrid - Akron Ohio (Travel involved when needed to nearby locations.) Duration: Contract 6 Months

Role Overview

We re seeking a hands-on LAN Administrator to provide Tier 2 support across multiple customer environments. This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite visits for issues that require physical troubleshooting. You ll be responsible for maintaining LAN infrastructure, supporting end users, and resolving network and Windows-related issues efficiently.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys real-world troubleshooting, customer interaction, and working across varied IT environments.

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience as a LAN Administrator, Systems Administrator, or Tier 2 Support Technician
• Strong hands-on knowledge of:
• • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Core networking concepts
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting:
• • Routers, switches, firewalls
• Hands-on support for:
• • Windows desktops and laptops
  • Printers and peripherals
• Active Directory administration (users, groups, permissions)
• Experience working with ticketing systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-facing communication
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
