KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

- Assists with development case reviews, staff reports, and research.
- Assists with work program assignments and memos.
- Assists with research on development cases.
- Assists with property research reviews, written findings, and research.
- Assists with zoning permit application review.
- Assists with inquiries relating to specific properties.
- May present information to Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Board of Supervisors
- Performs related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
- Knowledge of zoning ordinances and comprehensive planning.
- Knowledge of land use planning principles.
- Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in communicating complex ideas both orally and in writing.
- Skill in researching, developing, and presenting detailed reports.
- Skill in communicating with the general public.
- Skill in the use of GIS technology.
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university with a minimum of two semesters working towards a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Community and Regional Planning or a closely related field.
