What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Intern position at Merkle Retirement Planning?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to join our team as a Communications Intern beginning in January (Spring semester).
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, proactive in their approach, adaptable, organized, and possesses strong professional communication skills.
As a member of the team, the Communications Intern will interact with our clients daily with world-class customer service, while building relationships with clients and team members that will last a lifetime.
Job responsibilities include:
• Work with the team to gain hands-on learning in client service, event coordination, and office operations while building meaningful relationships with clients and team members.
• Support and maintain client relationships, assist with answering phones to direct calls to the appropriate team/team member, print paperwork for client meetings, scan essential documents and paperwork, and mail handling, including scanning and filing.
• Assists in preparing for and attending Merkle Retirement Planning-sponsored client events for first-hand learning, observation, and engagement.
• Assists with various special projects as needed to support the team, such as data clean-up, taking inventory, and purchasing items to ensure the kitchens are stocked, clean, and fully functioning for the team and clients.
