Experience Qualifications
- Experience delivering or driving delivery vehicles. Preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. (Required proficiency)
- Drivers License - DMV Current Valid Kansas Driver’s License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review. Required
- Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.
- Travels to delivery site on foot as assigned.
- Delivers patients/patient’s families/visitors to delivery site in a timely and safe manner. Delivers medication, specimens, blood products, films and any other item that needs delivered to authorized personnel.
- Keeps log of items received and delivered.
- Obtains receipts or payment for articles delivered.
- Behaves in a courteous, professional manner to assure cooperation and positive communications between patients, themselves and co-workers while maintaining patient confidentiality. Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Follow all departmental safety policies. Attends workshops, classes and seminars to maintain their proficiency and assure a safe environment for patients, themselves and co-workers.
