Role: Technical Operations Administator
Location: NYC, Onsite
About the Role:
We are partnered with a Prop Trading firm based in NYC in search for a TechOps Administrator to manage and support their growing organization's IT environment. This person will be responsible for maintaining internal systems, managing vendors and technology infrastructure, supporting employees, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and securely.
What You'll Do:
- Identity & Access Management
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning/deprovisioning across core business applications and systems.
- Technical Operations Administration
- Administer and maintain business-critical technology platforms, including identity management, collaboration tools, productivity software, and ticketing systems.
- Networking
- Manage and troubleshoot office network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and connectivity-related issues.
- Desktop & Help Desk Support
- Provide responsive technical support for employees, both remotely and in person, covering hardware, software, accounts, and general troubleshooting.
- Device & Endpoint Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of company devices, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, patch management, and endpoint security administration.
- Security Operations Support
- Assist with security-related processes such as MFA enforcement, access reviews, security awareness initiatives, and other operational security tasks.
- Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain clear and organized documentation, including runbooks, asset inventories, standard operating procedures, and IT processes.
- Vendor & Procurement Support
- Help manage relationships with technology vendors and support procurement-related workflows and documentation.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience administering business SaaS platforms, including identity and access management tools, collaboration platforms, productivity suites, ticketing systems, and software licensing.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and basic firewall concepts.
- Hands-on help desk or desktop support experience, with a customer-service-oriented approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- A security-conscious mindset with an understanding of access management, risk reduction, and operational best practices.
- Experience using scripting or automation tools to improve administrative workflows and device management processes.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience within financial services, capital markets, trading, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
