Senior Mechanical Engineer
Lowell, MA
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support system and subsystem product development within a small, multidisciplinary team engaged in RF and phased array antenna development projects. This role requires collaboration across engineering disciplines to translate customer requirements into validated system-level mechanical solutions.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to interpret customer requirements, develop system architectures, perform engineering analysis, create risk reduction plans, implement designs, and validate system-level performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a motivated self-starter, and has a strong passion for solving complex technical challenges.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience defining, developing, and testing system-level mechanical designs
- Experience in Semiconductor industry
- Experience with packaging design
- Strong passion for electro-mechanical product design, innovation, and accelerated prototyping
- Experience building 3D models and performing finite element analysis (FEA)
- Ability to rapidly prototype mechanical concepts
- Familiarity with thermal management design for electronic systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks modeling
- Ability to perform first-principles analysis (physics, stress-strain, thermal, tolerance stack-up, cost and mass optimization, etc.)
- Experience with FEA tools; ANSYS preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
