Production Operator – Milling Department

Location: Sussex, WI (Miller Way Plant)
Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shift Available
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in machining, inspecting, packaging, and maintaining quality standards while helping meet production goals safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Operate production equipment according to manufacturing methods and quality procedures

• Run production jobs according to schedule requirements

• Deburr, clean, inspect, and package finished products

• Maintain accurate production counts and documentation

• Complete quality checks using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspections

• Read and follow job travelers, work instructions, and basic blueprints

• Record labor, scrap, and rework information in the company operating system

• Perform basic operator-level machine maintenance as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Assist with other production-related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documents

• Basic blueprint reading skills preferred

• Basic computer skills are helpful

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift

• Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions

• Frequent use of hands for handling materials and operating equipment

• Regular lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 40 pounds

• Working around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery

• Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, and moderate industrial noise
