Quality Specialist - Elmhurst, IL - Day Shift

• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Shift: Day shift, 7am-8am start time
• Pay: $70k-$90k/year targeted 10% bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Specialist with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015. This role will support the Quality Manager in ensuring processes meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the controlled document library
• The right hand person to the Quality Manager
• Ensure all documents are current and up to date
• Create and update documentation as needed
• Maintain accurate quality records
• Act as a gatekeeper for document accuracy and compliance
• Support the Vendor Management Program
• Partner with the Materials team to distribute vendor questionnaires as needed
• Monitor vendor performance to improve service delivery
• Handle escalations related to quality issues
• Conduct internal audits to improve operational efficiency
• Support the Quality Incident Program (nonconformities and corrective actions)
• Analyze data to identify trends and initiate quality incident reports
• Perform root cause analysis for quality issues
• Track due dates and corrective actions to ensure timely completion
• Close quality incidents upon successful resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or process improvement
• Experience with quality management systems and audits
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
• Strong attention to detail
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
