About the Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized labor and employment law firm is seeking a Senior Employment Litigation Associate / Of Counsel to join its Phoenix office. This position is ideal for an experienced litigator looking to take on a leadership role while handling sophisticated employment disputes and high-impact litigation matters.
The firm is particularly interested in attorneys with employment law and/or restrictive covenant and trade secrets experience, though accomplished litigators from other practice areas with a strong interest in employment law are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Handle electronic discovery (ESI) and complex document management issues.
- Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex employment matters.
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 5 years of litigation experience.
- Employment litigation experience preferred.
- Experience with restrictive covenant, non-compete, trade secret, or unfair competition matters is highly desirable.
- Strong motion practice, deposition, and discovery experience.
- Familiarity with ESI and electronic discovery processes.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Active Arizona Bar admission required.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
