About the Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate to join its Sacramento office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with experienced practitioners, and develop a thriving labor and employment litigation practice.
The firm is open to candidates with traditional employment law backgrounds as well as strong litigators from other practice areas who are interested in transitioning into labor and employment law.
Responsibilities
- Handle employment litigation matters throughout all phases of the case lifecycle.
- Manage California wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
- Prepare for and argue motions.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Collaborate with clients and legal teams to develop case strategies.
- Manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience with California wage and hour litigation, class actions, and PAGA matters preferred.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently manage case responsibilities while working collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Active California Bar admission required.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Compensation
Base Salary: $185,000 – $215,000
Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the position.
