What You’ll Do…
As the Senior Program/Technical Advisor, you’ll provide expert-level scientific and strategic leadership supporting one of STI Federal’s federal client organizations, leading high-impact initiatives that advance national health and preparedness. You’ll lead high-impact research and development initiatives, guiding program design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure scientific rigor and operational success. This senior role requires deep expertise in medical countermeasure development, regulatory science, and program management. Your work will directly advance STI Federal’s mission to deliver exceptional support to federal partners serving critical national initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes
- Lead program strategy – Provide senior-level advisory and technical leadership to ensure alignment of program outcomes with mission objectives.
- Oversee technical evaluations – Assess research plans, studies, and documentation for quality, feasibility, and compliance with standards.
- Drive cross-functional integration – Collaborate across scientific, operational, and policy domains to advance coordinated program delivery.
- Provide subject matter expertise – Offer authoritative recommendations on complex technical or regulatory issues affecting program outcomes.
- Enhance program innovation – Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and technologies that advance preparedness and countermeasure capabilities.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and statistical or regulatory software used in program management and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in biological, chemical, or related scientific field; or advanced degree with commensurate experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leadership roles supporting medical countermeasure, pharmaceutical, or regulatory programs.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams or high-visibility federal projects preferred.
Compensation & Work Environment
- Estimated Salary Range: $125,000 - $165,000, dependent on experience.
- Environment: Work will be performed at a secure facility in Washington, D.C., with potential for a hybrid schedule for candidates residing within 50 miles of the site.
Note: This position is being advertised in anticipation of contract award. Employment is contingent upon STI Federal’s successful contract award and subsequent task order funding.
