Overview:
The Warehouse, Facilities & Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, facilities management, and shipping/logistics execution for a global franchisor supporting multiple brands. This role ensures efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and optimal facility performance while maintaining a safe, organized, and scalable environment.
This position plays a critical role in supporting procurement, technology deployment (including physical security and network equipment), and franchise operations by ensuring products are received, stored, and distributed effectively. The role requires strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners.

Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)
Warehouse & Inventory Operations:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of products
- Shipping, receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in deliveries
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes
- Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording materials received or distributed, and supporting physical inventory counts
- Ensure proper handling, organization, and storage of equipment including physical security devices, network equipment, and related materials
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse areas organized and orderly (sweeping, dusting, organizing workstations)
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning layout improvements, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repairs or replacements
- Order warehouse supplies as needed to support operations across all supported business units
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift) in a safe and compliant manner and always ensure proper use of safety equipment
Shipping & Logistics:
- Oversee shipping operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery across domestic and international locations
- Complete international product orders with full accuracy in picking, packing, and shipment preparation
- Prepare large, palletized freight orders including stacking, wrapping, strapping, and creation of Bills of Lading (BOL) and freight documentation
- Process FedEx, UPS, and other carrier shipments including label creation and shipment tracking
- Maintain shipping systems (FedEx, UPS software)
- Coordinate and complete all international shipping documentation in compliance with federal customs laws and international tariff requirements
- Research and apply harmonized system (HS) product codes to ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Provide signature and legal responsibility for international shipments
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, damages, or delivery issues
- Support drop ship and direct-to-site delivery programs for domestic and international customers
- Assist with RMA (Return Materials Authorization) processes including receiving, returning, refurbishing, and coordinating with vendors
- Support all companies within the organization for domestic and international shipping and logistics needs
Facilities:
- Maintain warehouse and facility operations including cleanliness, organization, safety, and security
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and vendor services for facility and equipment as needed
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficiency and scalability
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures
- Serve as central hub for deliveries including vendors, suppliers, and on-site services (e.g., catering, equipment deliveries)
- Support implementation and maintenance of physical security systems within warehouse and facility environments
- Provide on-call support for security system issues across facilities as needed
- Act as backup building supervisor as required
- Support on-site event logistics including setup, teardown, equipment staging, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors for meetings, trainings, and events
- Manage internal parcel distribution including delivery and notification of recipients
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Procurement and Logistics teams on inventory planning, vendor coordination, and order fulfillment
- Collaborate with Finance on inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
- Support Technology and Operations teams with staging, kitting, and deployment of equipment to franchise locations
- Advise management on compliance requirements and operational improvements
- Contribute to team efforts and support broader organizational initiatives as needed
Process & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements across warehouse, shipping, and facilities operations
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Leverage systems and tools to improve tracking, reporting, and operational visibility
- Ensure scalability of operations to support business growth
- Other duties as assigned. May be asked to assist on variety of projects within the organization.
Strengths and Background
- 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution center experience
- 2 years experience in shipping and carrier management (domestic and international)
- Experience with international shipping, customs documentation, and trade compliance (preferred)
- Experience with inventory management systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Forklift certification (preferred or required)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Results-oriented with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency
- Strong problem-solving and operational decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and vendors
