A family office–backed digital media company is seeking an Accounting Manager & HR Operations professional to own day-to-day financial operations as the business continues to scale.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role ideal for an accounting professional with 3–5 years of experience who can independently manage monthly close, subscription revenue accounting, and core HR/payroll coordination in a recurring revenue environment. This position will suit someone who can independently manage the books while partnering closely with leadership. This position does not include direct reports but carries significant cross-functional responsibility and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including full balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage subscription revenue accounting across Stripe, Chargebee, Apple App Store, and Google Play
- Oversee AR, deferred revenue, invoicing, and contractor/vendor payments
- Prepare monthly financial statements and revenue KPI reporting (MRR, ARR, churn, ARPU)
- Lead revenue forecasting and support annual planning
- Coordinate payroll, benefits administration, PTO tracking, and employee onboarding/offboarding
- Maintain strong internal controls and improve financial processes as the company grows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and revenue recognition
- Experience independently managing monthly close
- Hands-on experience with Stripe and Chargebee
- Advanced Excel skills
- Subscription, SaaS, or digital media experience preferred but not essential
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
