About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex, high-impact technical initiatives in our enterprise environment. You will manage large-scale projects involving enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, system integrations, data platforms, or AI/ML solutions while working closely with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders.
This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with exceptional project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality while meeting enterprise standards for security, compliance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for complex technical initiatives, including defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, RACI matrices, and status reports using tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies; proactively escalate when necessary and drive resolution across teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leads, architects, DevOps, QA, security, and product teams to break down technical requirements, estimate effort, and track technical deliverables.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and executive steering committee meetings.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies and coordinate with external vendors, partners, or offshore teams when required.
- Track and report on project health using key metrics (schedule, budget, quality, scope adherence, and business outcomes).
- Ensure all projects adhere to enterprise governance, compliance (SOC2, GDPR, ISO, etc.), change management, and quality assurance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, templates, and best practices within the organization.
- Communicate project status, risks, and successes clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 6 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years as a Technical Project Manager in an enterprise software, SaaS, or IT environment.
- Strong technical background: ability to understand system architecture, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), databases, microservices, and infrastructure concepts. Comfortable reviewing technical designs and discussing trade-offs with senior engineers.
- Proven track record successfully delivering complex, multi-quarter technical projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders in large enterprise settings.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SAFe) and tools (Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills — able to influence without direct authority.
- Experience with enterprise concerns such as security, compliance, scalability, high availability, and change management.
- PMP, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or equivalent certification is highly desired.
