Position Summary:
This position involves day-to-day responsibilities that require independent judgment and discretion, contributing to the department’s ongoing success servicing and supporting the Aviation Department and any Aviation Programs. This position includes a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

Maintain market and client relationships with an emphasis on Client retention
Manage the day-to-day servicing needs, including oversight and mentorship of all Account Executives, Associate Account Executives or Team Associates within the Aviation Department
Employee oversight, on-boarding, technology use, training of aviation employees
Work collaboratively with Producers, Team Leaders and clients
Update and monitor existing accounts
Evaluate, identify, compile and manage information regarding account renewal and promote cross-sell opportunities
Adherence, compliance and full utilization of all technology tools (i.e. EPIC, Outlook, Salesforce, etc.)
Meet service delivery standards and perform essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by SterlingRisk Aviation
Attend prospect and client meetings
Prepare insurance market presentations, specifications and applications for marketing renewal and related new business
Issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items; verifying their accuracy and facilitating corrections when necessary.
Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals
Collaborate with the Producer, Account Executives, Associate Account Executives, Team Associates and clients; analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotations
Participate in annual stewardship meetings
Manage domestic insurer relationships, prepare market presentations for commercial clients and attend industry conventions
Manage and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies in accordance with renewal/expiration list procedure
Determine appropriate billing/financing and processes
Participate in team strategy meetings
Monitor renewal dashboard
Any other duties as requested by management
Supervisory Duties:
This job has a medium level of supervisory responsibilities which include:
Account Management
Supervision and training of Account Executives and support
personnel to ensure an understanding of their role, the company role, and the clients’ needs and expectations
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of aviation driven insurance products, usages and markets and knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures to proficiently manage and complete complex insurance tasks associated with the variables of the aviation business
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce and EPIC
Broad knowledge of insurance products and usages
Broad knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets
Possess exceptional oral, written, and communication skills
Detail orientated with strong organizational and presentation skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work independently and take the lead initiative on all elements of client servicing
Ability to analyze complex insurance situations, recommend solutions and options, and communicate these options both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise manner
Understanding of client servicing expectations and ability to meet objectives and train staff to excel in client servicing procedures and goals
Prior experience with building relationships with domestic and international underwriters
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
Ten+ years insurance experience with at least 5 years’ experience in aviation specialty
Property & Casualty License

Salary:
The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 – $150,000 annually, plus benefits, and can vary based on location.
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty and training. The hiring range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
