What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onsite Manufacturing Recruiter position at STEM Search Group?
This role supports recruiting for a high-volume manufacturing operation, with ongoing hiring needs across production, warehouse, and skilled/technical teams. You’ll partner directly with supervisors and department leaders to build the workforce that keeps the operation staffed, productive, and moving forward.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how the organization attracts, hires, and retains talent. Influencing recruiting strategies, strengthening teams, and contributing to a positive, high-performing culture across the operation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead recruiting activity across the plant, supporting hiring needs for production, warehouse, and skilled/technical roles.
- Partner with supervisors and department leaders to understand staffing gaps, priorities, and role expectations.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines using a mix of job boards, referrals, outreach, and local recruiting efforts.
- Screen candidates and make informed recommendations based on both technical fit and alignment with the operation.
- Stay engaged with hiring managers to keep the process moving and ensure timely decisions.
- Track recruiting activity and maintain visibility into pipeline, progress, and hiring outcomes.
- Contribute to improvements in recruiting workflows, tools, and overall hiring approach as the operation continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience recruiting in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting both front-line and skilled/technical hiring (maintenance, skilled trades, or similar roles).
- Ability to manage multiple openings while staying organized and responsive.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with plant leadership.
- Self-directed and proactive — someone who follows through and keeps things moving.
- Familiarity with job boards and recruiting platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and similar tools.
