We are looking for a Healthcare Data Scientist to transform complex data into actionable insights that support public health and safety. This role is a blend of advanced analytics, mentorship, and application development, requiring a candidate who can build tools that operationalize data science products.

Core Responsibilities
- Application Development: Build and deploy interactive web applications and tools for internal stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytics: Use R, Python, and SQL to perform complex statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining.
- Mentorship: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding junior staff and external stakeholders on data best practices.
- Data Engineering: Collaborate on data architecture, ETL procedures, and database optimization.
- Strategic Insight: Translate business challenges into data solutions and create rapid prototypes (MVPs) for end-users.
Required Technical Skills
- App Frameworks: 2 years of experience with Shiny, Dash, Flask, or Streamlit.
- Languages: Proficiency in R, Python, and SQL for data manipulation and automation.
- Data Mastery: Strong experience in data cleansing, transforming, and managing relational/dimensional databases.
- Statistics & ML: Broad knowledge of regression, statistical testing, clustering, and decision tree learning.
- Pipelines: Experience connecting to backend data pipelines and deploying lightweight applications.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (Analytics, CS, Stats, or Math) 2 years of experience OR
- Master's Degree in a related field OR
- 4 years of professional experience in high-impact data science.
Bonus Skills (Highly Desired)
- Geospatial data and Geocoding.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Neo4j.
- Experience leading workshops or training sessions for a user community.
