RN Nurse Educator for LTC Facility
Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Participates in the completion of the facility assessment to identify knowledge and skills gaps among staff
- Develops educational needs assessments and prioritizes the facility's educational needs
- Collaborates with the Compliance Officer and other leaders to develop training plans that meet regulatory requirements and address facility needs
- Plans, schedules, conducts, and oversees orientation programs for all personnel
- Develops and directs refresher training programs and tracks attendance/completion of training
- Reviews and updates educational content to ensure it reflects current standards of practice and facility policies
- Utilizes outside resources to develop educational content and ensures competence among staff
- Collaborates with department managers to develop competencies required for meeting residents' needs
- Evaluates competencies and assists with evaluating training program effectiveness
- Schedules trainings to minimize disruption of resident care and posts notices in advance
- Maintains all training records, reports, and instructional materials
- Provides opportunities for staff to obtain continuing education credits for maintaining certifications/licensure
