Job Summary

Premier Healthcare at Harrington House is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team in Walpole, Massachusetts.

As a CNA, you will provide essential support to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment by assisting with daily living activities, promoting comfort and safety, and supporting each resident's dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, and personal hygiene.
• Provide incontinence care while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.
• Assist residents with meals, feeding, and hydration as needed.
• Support residents with range-of-motion exercises according to established care plans.
• Assist with safe resident transfers, repositioning, and wheelchair mobility.
• Help residents with short-distance ambulation in accordance with their care plans and safety requirements.
• Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and facility safety policies.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the CNA role.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by the start date.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of CNA experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care.
• Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to urgent situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare team members.
• Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the role, including assisting residents with mobility and transfers, with appropriate equipment and assistance.
